Tricolor Bread Pakora



Ingredients
( to make 24 pakora)

250 gm Besan (chickpea flour/Bengal gram flour)
1” finely chopped ginger
1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon aniseeds powder
Salt to taste
9 square bread slices, white bread or whole wheat bread
1 tablespoon green chutney (Recipe for Green Chutney)
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
Oil for frying

Method

In a pan take besan and add ginger, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, coriander powder, aniseeds powder and salt to it.
By adding water make smooth batter out of the besan. It should be of pouring consistency.
Keep it aside.



Apply tomato ketchup on a slice of bread.



Place another slice over it and apply green chutney on it.



Place another slice over it and cut it into 4 squares.


Cut all slices like this. A total of 12 squares will be made.

Heat oil in a Kadhai or wok.
Put the bread square sets into the besan batter and apply the batter all over it.




Deep fry the squares in hot oil over a medium flame till they are golden brown on all sides.





Drain out from oil to a paper napkin.
Make all pakora like this.
Cut each pakora in a half.

Serve while hot with tea or as it is
